M2 Human Physiology and Pathophysiology

Presentation of the specialty:

This specialty aims to provide students with a precise vision of modern animal physiology, metabolism and the pathophysiological mechanisms leading to disease. It leads on to biomedical research and associated careers. During the second semester of M1, students learn about the major functions required to maintain homeostasis in the internal environment. These foundations will enable M2 students to understand the molecular and cellular origin of the diseases covered in this specialty and the therapeutic means currently used or being developed to fight these diseases.

OBJECTIVES OF THE SPECIALTY:

To enable students to go on to work in biomedical research or associated careers.

 

Masters 2 - M2S3: The course units of M2S3 are detailed in the booklet for the BIP master’s course.

Masters 2 - M2S4: Six-month placement in a research laboratory or company in France or abroad.
